Living History Christmas and Christmas events at the Gregg County Historical Museum

December 7th 2024

The TRAINS ARE BACK this year at Living History Christmas at the Gregg County Historical Museum! Join us on December 7th for a free day at the museum as the exhibits come to life. Begin your journey at the museum with a greeting from Mr. Everett, the builder of the historic Everett Building. Learn about the Kilgore Rangerettes from a real Rangerette. Enjoy a tale from "Bill Dalton", the infamous Dalton Gang Bank robber or a 1930s oil field worker from the East Texas Oil Boom. Experience authentic Caddo Indian face painting and learn to crochet in the Victorian Parlor. Top it all off with coloring pages, ornament making and cookie decorating for a family experience you won't forget. Oh! And don't forget to visit the blacksmith as you enter. This event has become a family tradition for many people. Visitors travel great distances to enjoy it. This event will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 and is FREE to the public. Regular admission price applies for all other days besides December 7th.
